Q. I lost the instructions on how to use my Thermionics product. Is there a place that I can get a copy of them?
A. Yes. You can download and print a PDF copy of the instructions for ThermiPaq or ThermiBeads directly from this web site.
Q. My pet has chewed up my ThermiPaq or ThermiBeads product. Is it toxic?
A. No, but we do recommend giving them plenty of water.
Q. The cloth cover came in a plastic bag, which I removed and discarded. Do I need to take the ThermiPaq pad out of its plastic bag also?
A. No, the plastic bag on the ThermiPaq pad is actually part of the product.
Q. I do not know the wattage of my microwave. How long should I heat the ThermiPaq pad?
A. We recommend you follow the directions for the 1200 watt microwave. If the pad is still not warm enough, you can reheat it in 15 second increments until the desired temperature is reached.
Q. I do not have a microwave. How can I heat my ThermiPaq pad?
A. Microwave energy is the preferred method of heating the ThermiPaq pad. If you must heat it in a way other than the microwave, please call our customer service number at 800-800-3353.
Q. My ThermiPaq pad is too hot. What should I do?
A. Set your product aside until it reaches the desired temperature. Then on future heating, reduce the heat time by 15 seconds.
Q. Do I need to place the ThermiPaq pad in its cloth cover before placing it in the freezer?
A. It is not necessary to place the ThermiPaq pad in its cloth cover when you put it in the freezer, but doing so can help prevent accidental damage.
Q. My ThermiPaq pad does not feel cold enough when I take it out of the freezer. Is there a way that I can get it colder?
A. The ThermiPaq pad will get as cold as the temperature of your freezer. If you find that it is not cold enough for your preference, you can apply the ThermiPaq pad without its cover. If you decide to do this you must use caution as direct treatment without the cloth cover can be harmful to your skin. We recommend that you check the area being treated every 5 minutes.
Q. Can I leave my ThermiPaq pad in the freezer?
A. Yes. This will allow it to be ready for a quick, cold treatment application.
Q. I would like to purchase a ThermiBeads pad but I do not have a microwave. Is there any other way I can heat a ThermiBeads pad?
A. No. The ThermiBeads pad can only be heated in the microwave.
Q. My ThermiBeads pad was not hot enough when I took it out of the microwave. Can the pad be heated longer?
A. If you find the ThermiBeads pad is not at the desired temperature, you can reheat it in 15 second increments until the desired temperature is reached.
Q. My ThermiBeads product is too hot. What should I do?
A. Set your product aside until it reaches the desired temperature. Then on future heating, reduce the heat time by 15 seconds.
Q. Can my ThermiBeads Pad be used cold?
A. Yes. You can put the ThermiBeads pad in your freezer to obtain a soothing, cooling effect.
